RIP Edward “Kidd” Jordan (1935 – 2023)

News broke earlier today that legendary saxophonist Kidd Jordan has passed away. I recently played a track that featured his work – a track by Kali Fasteau from the album Making Waves – on the show – but he was also a prolific saxophonist with over 100 credits to his name.

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to do a tribute during tomorrow’s show so I’ll do one next week – but in the meantime, here is a terrific live performance of the Kidd Jordan Special Ensemble that also features the stellar work of Harrison Bankhead on bass.
