RoCM Playlist: 18 Oct 2025
A short, in terms of content not length, playlist this week – but still some good stuff and most of it from live performances. Matana Roberts with a cover a song by Frankie Sparo, Leroy Jenkins with a tribute to Thelonius Monk, Charlie Parker, and Eddie Palmieri. More music from the Midwest with a song from the only album released by Solidarity Unit, Inc as led by Charles “Bobo” Shaw. And lastly, a live performance by Cecil Taylor.
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that we are finally getting to the new album released by Marc Ribot back in May. Better late than never, I guess…
Here is the playlist. Don’t forget that you can listen to the RoCM online at KCSB-FM’s website and there’s an online archive available for two weeks after the show airs.
