RoCM Playlist: 09 Dec 2023

I really try to avoid complaining about things going on outside of the show, but this week was not kind scheduling wise so a good chunk of this show was recorded in my car in the parking lot of the Kathy & Alan Greenberg Sports Pavilion in Wheatley Heights, NY while my son was at soccer practice. Well, technically futsal practice, but those details are not important.

One of my favorite things about living on Long Island is that every week I learn of a new town on Long Island that somehow evaded me for the last 10 years. Half the time I feel like people are just screwing with me when they mention some town that has remained elusive, but I am assured that these are real places. Not only is Wheatley Heights real, it’s most notable for being the home of all four members of 90’s boy-band and R&B song-sation Soul 4 Real.

Does that sound made up to you?

Here is the playlist for this week. Don’t forget that you can listen online at KCSB-FM’s website and there’s an online archive available for two weeks after the show airs.
