So sad today news as it’s being reported that composer and pianist David Ornette Cherry has passed away while on tour in Europe. He passed away the morning after performing with Kahil El’Zabar and the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble in London on a tour honoring the work of his father Don Cherry.
